Welcome to DX Files!
The truth about developer experience (DX) design is in here. Also, bad puns.
Welcome to DX Files by me - Dmitry Nekrasovski.
I’m a perpetually curious product designer and design leader with a technical background. I currently lead design on Terraform at HashiCorp. I also make too many bad puns, like the title of this newsletter.
This is my experiment in writing about all things Developer Experience (DX), from the perspective of both a grizzled veteran of designing B2B products and a relative n00b as far designing developer/DevOps/cloud infrastructure tooling is concerned.
You will find three kinds of content in these newsletters:
Patterns: Analysis of UX elements that work - and those that don’t - in products built for technical audiences.
Insights: Things I’m learning that are influencing my practice as a designer and design leader working on dev tooling.
Takes: Strong opinions, weakly (and sometimes strongly) held, about DX.
Disclaimer: The contents of this newsletter in no way reflects opinions of my employer, nor of Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation, obviously.
I hope you enjoy DX-Files. Sign up now so you don’t miss the first issue.
In the meantime, tell your friends!
